ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of Phase 1C – Lake Improvements, 1North Adventure Trails, Caddo Parish, LA (Project No. 24-06; Contract No. RRW-841) will be received by the Red River Waterway Commission (Owner) by mail or in-person at the office of the Red River Waterway Commission, 5941 Highway 1 Bypass, P.O. Any bid received after the specified time and date will not be considered and returned unopened. The project engineer is KSA Engineers, Inc., 1111 Hawn Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71107 (Engineer). The project consists of excavation and improvement of an existing lake, which has been drawn down and is ready for construction, within the RRWC’s 547-acre recreation area, 1North Adventure Trails, along LA 1 in North Caddo Parish near Blanchard, LA. Work includes deepening and shaping of the lake, removal and replacement of an existing siphon spillway system, rehabilitation of an auxiliary spillway, and associated improvements. The Base Bid and Additive Alternate No. 1 will result in a finished 20-acre lake, and Additive Alternate No. 2 will result in a finished 27-acre lake, with the Base Bid including on-site placement of excavated material at the southern end of the lake and Additive Alternates including hauling and off-site disposal of excavated material. To bid and perform work covered by these Bidding Documents, the bidder must be a Louisiana licensed contractor with at least one of the following classifications or subclassification: 1. Classification I – Building Construction 2. Classification II – Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction 3. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount pursuant to the requirements noted in L.R.S. 38:2219 A. (1)(a), (b), and (c). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in accordance with Title 38 of the L.R.S.
