Sample Construction Agreement .......................................................................................... 52 IFB 2025-0087-PW/DK 2 ADVERTISEMENT INVITATION FOR BIDS CHIMAYO FIRE STATION APPARATUS BAY EXPANSION IFB 2025-0087-PW/DK The Santa Fe County Public Works Department requests bids for the purpose of procuring a licensed, insured, and qualified Contractor to provide construction services for an expansion of the Chimayo Fire Station apparatus bay utilizing construction plans and technical specification from Molzen Corbin. Bids may be held for ninety (90) days subject to all action by the County. Santa Fe County reserves the right to reject any and all bids in part or in whole. A completed bid package must be submitted in a sealed container indicating the bid title and number along with the bidding firm’s name and address clearly marked on the outside of the container. All bids must be received by 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the Santa Fe County Purchasing Division located at 102 Grant Avenue, Santa Fe, NM 87501. By submitting a bid for the requested materials and/or services each firm is certifying that their bid is in compliance with the regulations and requirements stated within this IFB. A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Visit will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 226 Juan Medina Road, Chimayo, NM 87522. All bidders must be in attendance and on time in order to submit a bid. Santa Fe County Public Works Publish: September 29 - 30, 2024 IFB 2025-0087-PW/DK 3 BID INSTRUCTIONS Bids are requested by Santa Fe County to expand the current building to include a 1,160 sq. ft. apparatus bay, two storage closets of 207 sq. ft. each, fire fighter locker area in the existing apparatus bay, ADA renovations and site improvements that will alter drainage and slope surrounding the existing site and asphalt for ADA compliance. The bids shall be based upon the material descriptions, units, and estimated quantities shown on the attached bid sheets. Final payment will be made upon quantities completed in accordance with the specifications, measured and accepted by the County, paid at the unit prices contained in the bid. The Contractor shall supply all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work in accordance with the construction plans and specifications. The bid shall include all permits, fees, tie-in fees for all utilities, overhead and profit, and incidental costs in the bid amounts. All applicable taxes shall not be included in the bid amounts. All applicable laws and ordinances and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over the project shall apply to the Contractor and all agreements between the Contractor and the County. 1. LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work to be completed is located at 226 Juan Medina Road, Chimayo, New Mexico 87522. The scope of this project involves expanding the existing building to accommodate additional vehicle apparatus and adding two storage closets. It also includes ADA renovations identified in the 2015 site assessment report. Additionally, improvements to grading, drainage, and asphalt/concrete are necessary to address accessibility and drainage issues in the front parking lot. The work includes but is not limited to the following: a. All permits - Santa Fe County and CID obtained by contractor - cost must be included in bid. b. Civil Improvements per design; i. Demo plan ii. Earthwork and grading iii. Parking Improvements to include ADA accessible spaces, curb and gutter, parking bumpers, signage and striping iv.
