    The North Kingstown School Department (NKSD) is seeking qualified bids for Elevator Safety Inspections and Preventive Maintenance Program. The North Kingstown School Department has five facilities requiring a chairlift maintenance program. The following request is for a one-year service contract, with two (2) one-year options from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029. North Kingstown High School - 150 Fairway Drive Model: Otis Passenger: Total 3 stops Davisville Middle School -200 School Street Model: ThyssenKrupp Hydraulic hole less passenger Elevator Total 2 stops; Warranty Wickford Middle School - 250 Tower Hill Road Model: Payne Oil Hydraulic Passenger Elevator 1 front stop, 3 rear stops; Total 4 stops Fishing Cove Elementary School - 110 Wickford Point Road Model: ThyssenKrup Hydraulic hole less Passenger Elevator Total 3 stops; Warranty Maintenance Program The contractor will maintain the entire elevator using qualified, trained personnel directly employed and supervised to keep equipment properly adjusted and maintain a proper and safe operating condition. The maintenance will include inspection, lubrication, adjustment, and if conditions or usage warrant, repair or replacement of the following parts: Controllers, selectors and dispatching equipment, relays, solid-state components, transducers, resistors, condensers, power amplifiers, transformers, contacts, leads, dashpots, timing devices, computer and microcomputer devices, steel selector tapes, mechanical and electrical driving equipment, signal lamps, and positions indicating equipment. Door operators, car door hangers, car door contacts, door protective devices, load weighing equipment, car frames, car safety mechanisms, platforms, car and counterweight guide shoes, including rollers and gibes, and emergency car lighting. Hoist way door interlocks and hangers, bottom door guides, and auxiliary door closing devices. Machines, worms, gears, thrust bearings, drive sheaves, drive sheave shaft bearings, brake pulleys, brake coils, contacts, linings, and component parts. Motors, motor generators, motor windings, rotating elements, commutates, brushes, brush holders, and bearings. Governors, governor sheaves and shaft assemblies, bearings, contacts, governor jaws, deflector or secondary sheaves, car and counterweight buffers, car and counterweight guide rails, car and counterweight sheave assemblies, top and bottom limit switches, governor tension sheave assemblies, and compensating sheave assemblies. Pumps pump motors, operating valves, valve motors, leveling valves, plunger packing, and exposed piping, above ground plungers and cylinders, and hydraulic fluid tattles. Periodic quarterly safety test examinations of safety devices and governors of unit; annual no load test, annual pressure relief valve test, and perform at each fifth year, a full load, full speed test of safety mechanisms, over speed governors, and car buffers. If required, the governor will be recalibrated and sealed for proper tripping speed.
