    Description

    The City of South Jordan is seeking a qualified and experienced contractor to perform roadway improvements at Towne Meadows Court, located approximately between Orchard View Dr. and Shields Ln (9800 S). The project consists mainly of the construction of roadway improvements and includes, but is not limited to furnishing and installing waterline, storm drain, street lights, sidewalks, roadway grading and overlay, striping, and miscellaneous landscaping improvements (See Base Bid Schedule A).There is also an Alternative Bid Schedule B that includes work in the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way at approximately 10000 S and 371 W and includes the mill and overlay and striping of the areas identified in the Plans. Striping for this work shall be done within 72 hours of the completion of the overlay. The City will require that the Contractor obtain permits and comply with Union Pacific Railroad requirements. The contractor shall provide two flaggers who are trained or approved by Union Pacific Railroad.The City will award the project to the low bidder of Base Bid Schedule A. The Alternative Bid Schedule B will be awarded only if there is budget available.Notice to Proceed for Bid Schedule A is anticipated to be March 18, 2026. Work for Schedule A must be substantially complete 90 days from Notice to Proceed.Notice to Proceed for Alternative Bid Schedule B: To Be Determined. The City will work with the awarded Contractor to determine a Notice to Proceed date for the work required under Schedule B. The work for Schedule B must be substantially complete 60 days from Schedule B Notice to Proceed to comply with Union Pacific Railroad requirements. All striping for Schedule B shall take place within 72 hours after the overlay is completed.Contractors need to examine the IFB carefully to become thoroughly familiar with all conditions and requirements that may affect the work to be performed under the contract. Contractors are expected to follow all local, city, state, and federal standards, codes, and specifications. Contractor shall also comply with all the requirements established by Union Pacific Railroad.Contractors shall review the IFB in order to provide a bid. The City will review the low bid to make sure it reflects market prices.Complete and submit all the information and documents required in the IFB documents.All questions must be submitted via BONFIRE by the Q&A date/time deadline posted in BONFIRE. Any question emailed or asked of staff will not be answered. While the RFP is open, communication of any kind made regarding this project with any City employee is prohibited.Bids will be received until the closing date and time listed on Bonfire, the State of Utah’s Procurement website. All bids shall be submitted online at Bonfire. It is the sole responsibility of the BIDDER to submit the Bid before the scheduled time.
