    The City of Laredo has established a local vendor preference ordinance 2018-O-175. All informal and formal Requests for bids for contracts will be evaluated with a 5% preference for local vendors. Bidders are strongly encouraged to submit their proposals electronically through use of Cit-E-Bid or in person - hand delivery. Mailed Bids (i.e. USPS, FedEx, UPS), telegraphic, emails or facsimile bids will not be considered. Request for Proposals may be hand delivered at the City Secretary Office, 1110 Houston St., 3rd Floor, Laredo, Texas 78040 until 5:00 PM on March 26, 2026 and all bids received will be acknowledged at 10:00 AM on March 27, 2026.
