    The City of San Marcos is soliciting sealed bids for:Solicitation Number: IFB 2026-038 Thorpe Lane Sidewalk Improvements IFBProject Scope: The scope of the project includes the demolition and reconstruction of existing sidewalks and driveways along Thorpe Ln between Hopkins St. and Aquarena Springs Dr. to bring pedestrian facilities into compliance with the Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG). Improvements include the reconstruction of sidewalk segments and driveway crossings to meet current accessibility standards. This project also includes construction of new sidewalk connection and curb ramps at Robbie Ln., including relocation of an existing pedestrian push button. In addition, the pedestrian crossing at Warden Ln. will be reconfigured.  The estimated construction cost for this project is $ 672,908.99.Project Manual, plans, addenda, bid tabulation, etc., are available for download at www.sanmarcostx.gov/eprocurement.Bidders must submit a cashier’s check, certified check, or acceptable bid bond with their bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid submitted.A non-mandatory pre-bid video conference will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, 2:00 P.M., Local Time. Requests for access to the video conference must be submitted to SRobertson@sanmarcostx.gov at least 30 minutes prior to the pre-bid conference. Sealed bids must be received in the Office of the Purchasing Manager, Building 3, 630 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, TX 78666, no later than Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 2:00 P.M., Local Time, and the bid opening will be conducted via video conference.
