    Description

    OPWDD’s Contract Management Unit for Finger Lakes DDSOO is soliciting sealed bids from responsible and qualified contractors to perform Snow and Slush Removal and Ice Control Services in Wayne County. The Scope of Work includes, but not limited to the removal of Snow and Slush accumulations and applications of Ice Control agents. All potential Bidders MUST attend the scheduled Mandatory Site Visit if they wish to submit a bid. See below for specific instructions for the Mandatory Site Visit. The Mandatory Site Visit for Campus Snow/Slush Removal and Ice Control Services for the Newark Campus in Wayne County will be conducted on Tuesday May 26, 2026 at 9:00 am, at 703 East Maple Avenue, Building 70, Newark, New York 14513. Bidders are required to sign the attendance sheet provided at the site. For questions about the location of the Site Visit only, potential Bidders may contact Plant Supervisor, David Greco, by calling (315) 630-8018. It is strongly recommended that Bidders interested in attending the Site Visit confirm their intention to attend by emailing the Contract Management Unit at eny.nyc.li.contracthub@opwdd.ny.gov. References, experience, financial resources, and applicable insurances are required. The bidder or its principals must be able to provide references that verify they have 2 years of relevant experience. The Bidder will be required to comply with all local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and ordinances governing the performance of Snow and Slush Removal and Ice Control Services. Contract will be awarded to the responsible and responsive bidder that provides the lowest Estimated Annual Snow and Slush Removal and Ice Control Services Total. Prevailing wage will apply to this contract. Bid opening will be conducted via Teams and in person. Please refer to IFB, page 6, Section 13.A.(4) for detailed instructions.
