BID BOND - In accordance with City ordinance, each bid in excess of $40,000 must be accompanied by cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the City of Council Bluffs, Iowa, for a sum not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. Copies of bid bonds or cashier's checks are to be uploaded in the assigned requested attachments area. Cashier's check shall clearly state cashier's check on it. Letters of credit and company or personal checks are not acceptable substitutes for a bid bond and would be cause for rejection of bid. **Please double check your math to make sure your 5% bid bond amount is accurate. Inaccurate amounts will be cause for rejection of bid.
