    Description

The City of Council Bluffs, Iowa (City), is requesting sealed bids for the lease of golf carts and utility vehicles for use by Dodge Riverside Golf Course and the City. All necessary personnel, supervision, materials and equipment to be provided by the Bidder and prices included in the bid should reflect the same. This is an all or nothing bid and will be awarded to one Bidder. The bid award will be based on the total for Package #1: Golf Cart Lease, defined as the price per vehicle for one full lease year (six [6] paid lease months). The bid bond will be based on this calculated amount. The amount for Package #2 does not go towards the bid total for award or into the calculation for the bid bond. This bid will be administered and overseen by an authorized designee of the Fleet Maintenance Division, Parks & Recreation Department, and/or Dodge Riverside Golf Course. BID BOND - In accordance with City ordinance, each bid in excess of $40,000 must be accompanied by cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the City of Council Bluffs, Iowa, for a sum not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. Copies of bid bonds or cashier's checks are to be uploaded in the assigned requested attachments area. Cashier's check shall clearly state cashier's check on it. Letters of credit and company or personal checks are not acceptable substitutes for a bid bond and would be cause for rejection of bid. **Please double check your math to make sure your 5% bid bond amount is accurate. Inaccurate amounts will be cause for rejection of bid. --- Q&A --- Q1: In Golf Cart Addendum No.1 "Package #2 Equipment Credit - If that credit offered is in the form of a dollar amount of discount from the purchase price of products/vehicles by entering that dollar amount the bid is automatically reducing the lease payment amount and not the lease funded amount (purchase price) of the vehicle which determines the monthly lease payment amount. How should that be handled in the bid? A1: See Addendum #2.
