    NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS The Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana will receive electronic or paper bids for the construction of the following project: 2026 ROAD RESURFACING PROJECT Pointe Coupee Parish Project No. 26-001 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project consists of the milling and overlay of existing roadways, In- place soil cement and lime base stabilization, and full depth asphalt patch base repairs of selected roads in the Pointe Coupee Parish, and related work. Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. Local Time, THURSDAY, June 11, 2026, by the Pointe Coupee Parish Government, 160 East Main Street, New Roads, LA 70760, or electronically via www.centralauctionhouse.com under the Pointe Coupee Parish Agency Category. No bids will be received after 2:00 p.m. on the same day and date. Bids will be opened the same day, shortly after the bid deadline listed above. A MANDATORY PREBID conference will be held on Wednesday, May, 27, 2026, 10:00 AM at the Pointe Coupee Parish Government, 160 East Main Street, New Roads, LA 70760. Questions for clarification regarding the project may be submitted to [email protected] until Friday, May 29, 2026. All questions will be compiled and addressed or clarified via email on Monday, June 1, 2026 to all that have picked up the plans from Pointe Coupee Parish and attended the Prebid conference. Bids, amendments to bids, or request for withdrawal of quotations, received after time specified for bid opening shall not be considered for any cause whatsoever. Bids shall be firm for a period of forty five (45) days from the date of the opening of bids and no bid shall be withdrawn for any reason during this period of time except as allowed per R.S. 38:2214.C. Pursuant to the Louisiana Revised Statute, Bidders may obtain Bid Documents as well as submit their bids and bid bonds, electronically. Official Electronic Bid Documents are available at Central Bidding. Central Bidding can be accessed at www.centralauctionhouse.com. For questions related to the electronic bidding process, please call Central Bidding at 225-810-4814. To view bids, download, and receive bid notices by email, your company/agency will need to register at www.centralauctionhouse.com prior to the deadline. Paper copies of the plans, specifications and contract documents are on file and may be obtained from the Pointe Coupee Parish Government, 160 East Main Street, New Roads, LA 70760. A Certified Check or Cashier's Check, payable to the Pointe Coupee Parish or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bidder is advised that the Pointe Coupee Parish is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Therefore the Bidder is encouraged to utilize minority participation in this contract to the extent possible through the use of small, disadvantaged and women-owned businesses as suppliers or subcontractors. All Contractors bidding on this work shall comply with all provisions of the State Licensing Law for Contractors, R.S. 37:2150-2163, as amended, for all public contracts. It shall also be the responsibility of the General Contractor to assure that all subcontractors comply with this law. If required for bidding, Contractors must hold an active license issued by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors in the classification of HIGHWAY, STREET AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION, and must show their license number on the face of the bid envelope and the Uniform Public Works Bid Form. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2214 (B) the Pointe Coupee Parish reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212 (A)(1)(b), the provisions and requirements of this Section, those stated in the advertisement for bids, and those required on the bid form, shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived by any public entity.
