2026 ROAD REHABILITATION PROJECT The Nevada County Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Nevada County Public Works Department, is accepting Sealed bids until the hour of 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2026, for 2026 Road Rehabilitation Project, County Project No. 450014. The work to be performed includes the following: The work to be done, in general, consists of removal of existing striping, dig out and repaving of failed areas, sweeping roads, patching of recessed marker depressions, removal of vegetation from cracks, application of Type II Micro-surfacing on several roads, installation of chip-seal on several roads, installation of cape seal on two roads, restriping, and installation of new recessed markers. Work will not begin before July 5th, 2026. The Darkhorse subdivision will consist of placement of CMS boards at Darkhorse Drive and Retherford Road for public notification, removal of existing striping within the project area, clear and grub all vegetation from roadway and cracks, application of herbicide to cracks, digout and repavement of marked failure areas, sweeping of roads in preparation for micro-surfacing, micro-surfacing, and striping. Ironwood Court will receive a cape seal. Alta Sierra subdivision will consist of placement of CMS boards for public notification at the intersections of Alexandra Way/Patricia Way and Norlene Way/Alexandra Way, removal of existing striping, patching of recessed marker packets with HMA, digout and repavement of marked failure areas, sweeping of roads in preparation for chip seal, and chip seal. Jamie Lee Court will receive a cape seal. Wolf Road, You Bet Road, Greenhorn Road, Lakewood Lane, Adamson Drive will consist of placement of CMS boards for public notification, stripe removal, digout and repavement of marked pavement failures, sweeping of road in preparation for micro-surfacing, installation of micro-surfacing, and restriping and recessed marker placement. Contractor shall supply all CMS boards. The Engineer’s Estimate for this contract is $2,650,000 Bids shall be: UNIT PRICES Bids must be for all of the work described herein unless the Bid Form specifically indicates a bid item is optional. Work Will Not Begin Before July 5th, 2026. Complete work within 65 working days. The work covered by this bid is not state or federally funded. As such, there are no DBE or DBVE goals and no small Business requirement.
