Q (Engineers Estimate or Budget ): What is the engineers estimate or owners budget for this project?
A: Not Available
Q (Completion Date): What is the projects final completion date?
A: As stated in the bid specifications Completion December 1, 2026. Final Invoice no later than December 15, 2026
Q (Grout): Would the owner consider Quadex I&I Guard-AG an approved chemical grout for laterals? Quadex I&I Guard-AG is a dry powder that readily dissolves in water to produce a solution of low viscosity. When catalyst is added to the I&I Guard-AG solution the grout mixture has about the same viscosity of water. As a result, it will penetrate soils similarly to water. The grout solution will penetrate all voids into which it is injected. When injected into the soil and cured it binds the soil particles together and forms a stiff impermeable gel thereby controlling the flow of groundwater.
A: Not for this project.
Q (DBE Requirements): Can the Owner please confirm if there are any DBE Requirements or good faith efforts that need to be completed for this project?
A: There are not any DBE requirements or good faith efforts requirements for this project.
Q (No subject): 1. Page 40 of 106 requires a “gravity leakage test.” The City of Naperville has removed this requirement on all previous CIPP projects when curing with steam. Can you please confirm a gravity leakage test is not required if steam curing is used? Please consider updating your specification for future projects
A: Gravity leakage testing not required for this project.
Q (No subject): • When it comes to testing and sealing the laterals under section 39 part A, it says to test and seal the first 6 ft of the lateral, but under c.6. it states an effective sealing length of 4 LF. Can you please clarify the effective sealing length within the lateral? • Can you confirm that work hours from 0700 – 1700 will be acceptable?
A: Lateral Sealing length is the first 4 feet of the service lateral. Hours of Operation are stated in the bid specification.
