Q (Geotech Report): Can you please advise on where to find the Geotech report? I am having trouble finding that.

A: The geotechnical report has been attached for reference.

Q (General Questions): 1- In the meeting, it was stated that all sub-contractor's must hold a PW license. From my understanding, any sub-contractor coming in under 100k can work under the GC's PW license. Can you confirm? 2- Building permit- is this handled and paid for by City of Caldwell? 3- Power- It was stated that transformer costs and all Idaho Power costs will be handled by City of Caldwell. Are we expected to have a generator or some sort of temp power on site for the duration of the job?

A: 1. Contractors and subcontractors shall comply with all applicable Idaho Public Works Contractor licensing requirements. Bidders are responsible for verifying licensing requirements with the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses. (Idaho Code §54-1903 and §54-1904) 2. The building permit will be obtained and paid for by the City of Caldwell. 3. The City of Caldwell will coordinate and pay for service instillation costs with Idaho Power. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing temporary power as necessary for construction operations.

Q (Drainage Window): Drainage window per detail 6, Sheet 02C-501 does not specify aggregate requirements or depths. Please confirm invert elevations and material types for drainage window.

A: The aggregate for the drainage window shown in Detail 6 shall be free-draining structural fill. The pond depth is 5 ft per the grading plan; structural fill extends to 10 ft total depth (5 ft below pond bottom), followed by 1 ft of filter sand (11 ft total) transitioning into free-draining native gravel, with groundwater anticipated at approximately 11.5 ft.

Q (Stainless Steel Table & Cabinet): On page 02M-101, they are calling for stainless steel table and cabinet. Can you provide more information on the products you are looking for?

A: The information provided on Sheet 02M-101 should be sufficient to bid from. There should be off-the-shelf stainless-steel table and cabinet products available that meet the description shown on the plans.

Q (Geotech/Soils Testing): 1) Does the City or the Contractor carry the Geotechnical/Soils testing?

A: See attached document - BO25073E Well House #20 GEE.

Q (Yard Light Poles): Please clarify the desired height for the yard light poles.

A: The mounting height for the yard lights will be 20 ft.

Q (Drywall/Insulation): Is batt insulation required at the ceiling of this pump building? Nothing is shown in the plans. Also, what about drywall? Nothing is shown in the plans.

A: We have asked the structural engineer to add ceiling insulation to plans, with primed and painted OSB on the ceiling, no drywall. We will issue the revised plans as an addendum. Addendum is attached.

Q (Coatings Specs ): There is such a wide variety in Coatings when referring to Rust Prohibitive Primers and Epoxies. Not only in Costs but also application Mils. Can you please provide a more accurate specification on the coatings that will be required?

A: Epoxy coating Tnemec N140, suitable for use as a primer and interior topcoat on ductile iron pipe or approved equal. Recommended epoxy coating DFT of 2.0 to 10.0 mils per coat (suggested 6.0 mils). Apply to meet the requirements of AWWA C550 (two or three coats).

Q (Fence): Is the Chainlink fence 6ft and then the 3 strands of barbed wire on top? Or 8ft chainlink with barbed wire on top?

A: 6-foot chain link fence with three strands of barbed wire on top.

Q (Pre-Bid Attendance Log): Hello, could a copy of the pre-bid meeting sign-in log be shared?

    A: See attached.

Q (Pond Drain Rock): Page 02C-501 shows 6 inches of 2in drain rock in the pond with no other dimensions, which is seperate from the rip rap pad. Will you clarify how far in the pond/around it the 2in drain rock goes?

A: The drain rock should extend up the sides to within 12 inches of the top.

Q (Geotech Report/Excavation): Do you know if they want us to dig out all undocumented fill or just proof roll under all fat work?

A: The geotechnical report addresses this on Page 3, please follow these recommendations. Note that for the generator pad, detail E on S3.0 should be used.

Q (Railroad): Are we in the easement of the railroad. We want to make sure there is no additional RR insurance required or training.

A: The rail is privately owned by Sunroc. I would stay out of the rail property as much as possible.

Q (Floor Drains): Is there a specific floor drain model for the 5" Drains?

A: None called out, generally drain model approved during submittal process.

Q (Or Equal Valves): Will "or equal" valves be accepted given they meet specifications?

    A: Please refer to: 02M-101 note 11 and 02C-102 note 10.

Q (drainage window ): I cant seem to find dimensions for the drainage window, I know its going 1ft into free draining but how wide x long?

A: The drainage window is to be installed along the entire pond bottom.
