    NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS The University of Utah (U Facilities) is requesting bids for the following project: Station Center Soil Clean Up UNIVERSITY PROJECT #22574 Project Description: See page 4 for description of Work. Construction Cost Estimate: $3,200,000.00 The University is entering into a Multi-Step Bidding Process for Construction Services. A short-listing of Contractors will be based on the evaluation of proposals submitted and the selection criteria outlined in the solicitation documents contained herein. Short-listed Contractors will be invited to submit bids on the project. The only Contractors allowed to bid on this project will be Contractors short-listed by the selection committee. All Contractors responding to this procurement must comply with and require all of their Subcontractors to comply with the license laws as required by the State of Utah. The Multi-Step Bidding Process Request for Proposals documents will be available at 5:00 PM on May 14, 2026 on the BidNet Direct website will provide the requirements and due dates and times of all proposals and bids, in addition to dates, times and locations of important events and meetings. A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting to discuss the Multi-Step Bidding Process will be held at 2:00 PM on May 21, 2026, at 570 W 400 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. All Contractors wishing to bid on this project are required to attend this meeting. The University of Utah reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the University. DESCRIPTION OF WORK University Project Manager: Adam Wyatt | 801-710-0138 | adam.wyatt@utah.edu. Project Description/Base Bid: The site work will include removal of existing concrete foundations, excavation of impacted shallow fill soils, backfill, compaction and injection of remedial products to address solvent impacts. Two groundwater monitoring wells will be installed to replace monitoring wells that were damaged during building demolition. Up to 10 soil vapor points will be installed following remediation services, as necessary to replace soil vapor points that were previously damaged or will be damaged during site remediation. Waste disposal will also be required, as indicated. There will be three substantial completions in place. One for the initial injection, second for the second injection to remobilize if needed. Third after the second injection has taken place. Risks: Possible remobilization if a second injection is needed. The footing and foundation could be thicker than anticipated. There could be possible footings that are unknown.
