26-0069 Water and Sewer Infrastructure Replacement

General work description:

NBU anticipates the following items will be included in the Project scope of work: (i) construction of approximately 2,600 linear feet (“LF”) of 4-inch to 18-inch water main and approximately 2,900 LF of 6-inch to 12-inch sewer main along Bridge Street, Butcher Street, Sunset Drive, and Hampshire Street; (ii) removal or abandonment of existing water mains, sewer manholes, and mains (iii) stormwater pollution prevention; (iv) traffic control; (v) site restoration and (vi) all other appurtenances necessary to complete the Project. The Project will be designed and constructed so as to meet all applicable federal, state, and local accessibility standards.

• Bid Bond (required) —

  Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, in the amount of XXXXXof the total bid price, payable toNew Braunfels Utilities, as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. The bidder shall guarantee the total bid price for a period of 60 days from the date of the bid opening.

• Contract Execution, Payment Bond, Performance Bond, and Certificate(s) of Insurance (required) —

  The contract shall be executed by the successful bidder and shall be returned, together with the Payment Bond, Performance Bond and Certificate(s) of Insurance to New Braunfels Utilities so that it is received within 14 working daysafter the bidder has received the contract for execution. Failure to do so shall be just cause for forfeiture of the proposal guaranty.
