26-0127 Loop Ground Storage Tank Improvements

New Braunfels Utilities (“NBU”) invites the submittal of responses to this Request for
Proposals (“RFP”) from qualified firms interested in providing construction services in
connection with the construction of Loop Ground Storage Tank Improvements (the “Project”).
The Project has been designed by Freese and Nichols, Inc. The Project is anticipated to
include some or all of the following items within its scope: (i) demolition of existing
Loop 337 GST pump station facilities; (ii) installation of pumps, motors, valves, flow
meter, electrical improvements, SCADA, instrumentation controls, security controls,
VFDs, and electrical building; (iii) storm water pollution prevention; (iv) installation of
fencing and gates; (v) site grading; (vi) retaining wall; (vii) restoration; and (viii) all other
appurtenances necessary to complete the Project.

• Bid Bond (required) —

  Each bid shall be accompanied by a  bid bond, in the amount of XXXXXof the total bid price, payable toNew Braunfels Utilities, as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. The bidder shall guarantee the total bid price for a period of 60 days from the date of the bid opening.

• Contract Execution, Payment Bond, Performance Bond, and Certificate(s) of Insurance (required) —

  The contract shall be executed by the successful bidder and shall be returned, together with the Payment Bond, Performance Bond and Certificate(s) of Insurance to New Braunfels Utilities so that it is received within 14 working daysafter the bidder has received the contract for execution. Failure to do so shall be just cause for forfeiture of the proposal guaranty.
