    Sandy Springs Project S2101 - ITS Ring A includes the installation of new fiber optic communications systems to support current and future communication needs for the City. The project includes the installation of new fiber trunkline as well as the replacement of existing fiber trunkline along several corridors throughout the City, all together referred to as Loop A, as well as the installation of new fiber drop cables to 22 existing traffic signals along the project. The project involves both aerial and underground fiber installations in both existing and new conduits installed by trenching and directional bore for a total of approximately 9.3 miles of fiber. The scope of work generally includes, but is not limited to: underground and/or aerial fiber installation; conduit installation and pathway preparation; placement of pullboxes; fiber optic cable pulling, splicing, and termination; installation of associated hardware and enclosures; installation of hub cabinet and hub switch; TMC integration; testing and certification of all fiber strands; restoration of disturbed areas; and coordination with utility providers as required. Some additional materials required include, but are not limited to, pullboxes, field switches, hub cabinet, and other related infrastructure.
