    Description

    The purpose of the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to establish a shortlist for the meter/register technology and a second shortlist for the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) technology. After the shortlists are established, selection(s) made, and the contract is negotiated and executed, GW intends to immediately replace approximately 663 water services in the Town of Pelzer, 518 water services in the Town of West Pelzer, 250 water services along our transmission main right-of-ways, 150 temporary hydrant connection meters, and approximately 1,475 meters along high-traffic roads with an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solution (3,056 total services). Additionally, GW intends to purchase the selected solution(s) for all new service installations and all maintenance replacements going forward for the foreseeable future. All installations will be completed by GW personnel and will utilize existing GW meter boxes and lids.
