    Description

    Melrose Multiuse Path (CDBG)-31952300 This project consists of construction of an 8-foot-wide concrete multi-use path along the north side of Melrose Avenue, extending from Crystal Avenue to Bright Road. The path is intended to provide a safe, accessible, and durable transportation facility for pedestrians, bicyclists, runners, and other non-motorized users. Project work will include but not limited too; site preparation, grading, sidewalk removal, installation of 4-inch concrete multi-use path, drainage modifications as necessary, restoration of disturbed areas, and installation of signage, and other appurtenances required to support safe multi-use operations. The path will be designed to meet applicable accessibility standards and will improve connectivity between residential neighborhoods, schools, parks, commercial areas, and other community destinations along the corridor. Bidders are advised to pay close attention to the specific details in the Supplemental Specifications and Pay Item Descriptions. Item descriptions detail all that is included with each pay item as well as pay limits for certain items. During construction, maintenance of traffic and access to residences will be major concerns for the City, Contractor, and adjacent property owners. This project is funded by City of Findlay Capital Improvement Funds as well as Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Grants. This is a federally funded program, and therefore SPECIAL ATTENTION MUST BE GIVEN to all the requirements, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis Bacon Wages, Section 3 requirements, Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements, various insurance requirements, and various equal opportunity provisions. Final Completion Date: September 18, 2026 Engineer’s Estimate (Base Bid Only): $490,000.00
