Carnahan Avenue Storm Sewer Replacement (CDBG) This project consists of removing an existing 72-inch storm sewer along Carnahan Avenue from Clinton Court 200-feet to the North. The base bid of the project shall consist of, but not limited to, 200-ft of 72-inch storm sewer, storm structures, full depth pavement repair and seeding and mulching. Replacing the existing waterline will be bid as an alternate due to its closed proximity to the 72-inch storm sewer, there is a risk of losing it during sewer replacement. The alternate bid for the project shall consist of, but not limited to, 6-inch C909 Waterline, waterline tie-ins, waterline abandonments, fire hydrant removal, hydrant replacement and misc. fittings. Bidders are advised to pay close attention to the specific details in the Supplemental Specifications and Pay Item Descriptions. Item descriptions detail all that is included with each pay item as well as pay limits for certain items. During construction, maintenance of traffic and access to residences will be major concerns for the City, Contractor, and adjacent property owners. This project is funded by City of Findlay Storm Water Funds as well as Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Grants. This is a federally funded program, and therefore SPECIAL ATTENTION MUST BE GIVEN to all the requirements, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis Bacon Wages, Section 3 requirements, Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements, various insurance requirements, and various equal opportunity provisions.
