    Description

    The work consists of field-fit curb ramp construction per City of Oakland Standard Curb Ramp Plans. Upon field layout by City engineer or inspector, Contractor is responsible to achieve ADA compliant ramps. The specific scope includes construction of approximately 225 field- fitted curb ramp installations; 300 SF of retrofitting detectable warning dome pavers; 500 LF of concrete curb replacement; 250 SF of concrete gutter replacement; 20,000 SF of concrete sidewalk replacement 1,000 SF of concrete driveway replacement; 250 SF of tree root pruning; and other ancillary work shown in the project bid documents. This contract will support the City of Oakland in achieving yearly sidewalk repair milestones as mandated by the Curran vs City of Oakland Settlement, reducing trip hazards in a highest priority equity neighborhood, and advancing accessibility for people with mobility disabilities.
