Trees for harvest in marked stands are marked with blue paint at eye level. In the logger-select area thin trees to achieve a density of 45 to 50 square feet of basal area per acre and harvest them based on the following criteria: diseased, defective, and suppressed trees shall be harvested first, followed by a portion of the intermediate and co-dominant trees to reach the desired density. The District estimates the volume of timber conveyed in this Agreement to be 3,640 tons of pine pulpwood, 750 tons of chip-n-saw, but there is no guarantee that the volume is present.
