    Description

    PURPOSE: To establish an Indefinite Quantity Agreement for Parts Washer, Paint Cleaner and Machine Tool Coolant Cleaner Service, Rental and Recycling on an as needed basis for the City of Columbus, Department of Public Utilities (DPU) aka Columbus Water & Power (CWP.) The estimated dollar amount to be spent on this agreement is $50,000.00 annually. This is an estimate of the annual needs of the Department under this Agreement and are for bidding purposes only. This estimate is not to be construed as representing an actual order for that amount, or a guarantee that any minimum amount will actually be purchased. Subsequent to the acceptance of an offer, individual written purchase orders may be issued as needed by the City to purchase items listed herein during the term of the agreement. At no time shall the obligation of the City agency exceed the dollar amount of any associated purchase order. The Agreement will be in effect through 5/31/27. Any available funds not obligated by the City by means of a Purchase Order on or prior to that date shall be cancelled after that date. Parts Cleaner Service - Provide and maintain parts washer, paint cleaner and machine tool coolant cleaner, rental and recycling on an as needed basis. Locations vary in frequency of service. This will include equipment and rental, supply of solvents and disposal of used solvents. Leased Parts cleaners shall remain the property of the service provider. The City of Columbus will not pay for the placement of the machines. Delivery of the machines and servicing shall be included in the cost of the price per visit. No part of the service is to be subcontracted. Service provider will have no less than 5 years of Parts Cleaning equipment service experience. Prices shall be FOB Destination Freight Prepaid & Allowed unless otherwise specified. Delivery Instructions: Each delivery location may have specific requirements for delivery specified on the purchase order. If no instructions are listed please contact the City contact listed below to determine specific delivery instructions. Service to include: 1) Provide virgin spec mineral spirits with flash point not below 140 degrees. 2) Solvent will not contain contaminates known to the state of California to cause cancer 3) Valid reuse program in Ohio and contiguous states for return of spent materials 4) Removal of spent materials from leased parts cleaning equipment 5) Clean and inspect equipment 6) Refill with new material Equipment: 1) Spring loaded door closure on units using mineral spirits with 165F fusible link on all units with material whose flash point is below 150 degrees 2) Equipment to have separate brush and hose operation for mineral spirit based cleaners 3) Equipment repair or replacement when needed. BIDDING INSTRUCTIONS: For each line please provide the price per visit cost. Any charges not specifically listed here will not be approved for payment, should a purchase order be awarded. Any additional maintenance of the cleaners to maintain operation will be the sole responsibility of the provider. Provider must have the ability to respond within 24 hours for a service call, if necessary. Please see the attached document for complete list of equipment and locations.
