    Description

    The City of Columbus, Department of Public Utilities is receiving bids until June 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM Eastern Time for construction of the Division of Water’s Heyl Ave Area Water Line Improvements, CIP 690236-100135 the work for which consists of 11,767 linear feet of 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch water mains, as well as the replacement of privately owned lead and galvanized water service lines, and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, in accordance with the drawings, technical specifications, special provisions, and City of Columbus Construction and Material Specifications set forth in this Invitation For Bid (IFB). Bids are to be submitted only at www.bidexpress.com. Hard copies shall not be accepted. All questions concerning this project are to be sent to DPUConstructionBids@columbus.gov. The last day to submit questions will be May 19, 2026, phone calls will not be accepted. Responses will be posted on Bid Express at www.bidexpress.com as an addendum. A pre-bid meeting will not be held. All bid documents (Invitation for Bid, technical specifications, plans, and future addenda) will be available for review and download on Bid Express at www.bidexpress.com after the IFB is published. Firms must meet the mandatory requirements stated in the IFB for a bid to be considered for contract award. This project will be funded with financial assistance from the Water Supply Revolving Loan Account (WSRLA) program in association with the Ohio and U.S. Environmental Protection Agencies and does include WSRLA Program specific requirements. The OEPA Diversity Goal is 5.4%.
