    Description

    The New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT), in furtherance of goal of its Vision Zero Program, intends to enter into a sole source agreement with Reliance Foundry Company Ltd. (“Reliance”) for the purchase of quantities of Martello Bollard Model R-7651-EM (“the Martello Bollard”).  The Martello Bollard is used as a safety device for DOT’s Vision Zero Projects, Borough Pedestrian Safety Action locations, priority corridors, intersections, and in areas that have the highest density of pedestrian fatalities and severe injuries.On December 13, 2022 the ACCO’s office determined, in accordance with Section 3-05(b) of the Procurement Policy Board Rules, that Reliance is the only vendor that provides a bollard that has met or exceeded NYCDOT expectations with regard to preventing an SUV or car from flipping over when hit.Vendors may express interest in providing this good by contacting the authorized agency contact, David Maco (dmaco@dot.nyc.gov ), New York Department of Transportation,  ACCO’s Office,  55 Water Street, 8th Floor, New York, NY 10041, by no later than April 21, 2023 @ 5:00pm.
