This project consists of procuring and installing a complete, campus-wide network video surveillance system across multiple DRI locations, including cameras, edge/server routing, software integration, storage, testing, training, and closeout documentation. The system must provide full entrance and parking-area coverage, route feeds by campus to the appropriate UPD monitoring environment and maintain compatible 30-day video retention on designated server infrastructure. The bid package is structured to prequalify only highly qualified integrators with the required manufacturer, software, security, and CPTED certifications so the Owner receives a fully coordinated, supportable, standards-based security system. Special Considerations: Bidders must meet the project-specific qualifications already written into the specs: CPP, PSP, PCI, Milestone XProtect certifications, Axis Certified Professional certifications, CPTED certification, manufacturer/software partner status, and qualified/certified project staff. The contractor must coordinate access, staging, parking, lift use, pathway routing, building entry, IDF/MDF/server room access, roof or exterior-wall access if applicable, utility/network connections, existing low-voltage pathways, fire-rated penetrations, adjacent occupied building impacts, research/lab operational impacts, pedestrian and vehicle circulation, and UPD IT coordination. Work must be phased and scheduled to minimize disruption to occupied DRI facilities and to maintain safe access to entrances, parking lots, and campus circulation routes. All telecommunications and video surveillance equipment used for this project must be in compliance with Section 889 of the National Defense Authorization Act. Will the construction schedule be impacted by Commencement, Homecoming, or other events? Potentially yes. The contractor shall coordinate work with DRI, campus representatives, UPD, and affected departments to avoid conflicts with campus events, research operations, parking impacts, building access restrictions, high-traffic periods, and any Owner-designated blackout dates.
