    Description

    The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA), Wisconsin Veterans Home at King (WVH-K), requests Bids for the purchase of two (2) ADA-compliant multi-passenger buses (including mobility lifts) to fulfil transportation needs; one (1) bus for Wisconsin Veterans’ Home at Union Grove (WVH-UG) and one (1) bus for the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King (WVH-K) and intends to use the results of this process to award up to two (2) Contracts. The vehicles will fulfill transport needs for WVH-UG and WVH-K Members to recreational activities programs and occasional non-emergency medical appointments when contracted vendors are unable to do so. It’s anticipated that the buses will travel locally with occasional travel to locations outside of Racine and Lincoln Counties; driven between 500 to 1000 miles per month based on activities schedules and Member needs. The new vehicles must be ADA compliant and allow accommodation for multiple ambulatory and non-ambulatory Members confined to wheelchairs.
