A1: Parks- Majority of our systems have 1.5” main lines and anywhere between 12-20 zones with our largest being Tuma at 145 zones. PW-Streets - each line is 1.5" & believes there is one control box for each. Facilities - PD has a 1.5" line, but unsure on # of zones. Central Fire looks to have a 1" line & 14 zones. Submitted: 3/2/2026 10:51:16 AM (CT) Q2: What qualifications are you looking for on this form? Proof of Irrigation Contractor Certification. Is Nationally certified Irrigation Technician qualify? Or what specifically are you looking for? A2: We are looking for companies that are Certified Irrigation Contractors. ‘Certified irrigation contractors certify that a US candidate has met an advanced level of competency in the execution of contracts or subcontracts to install, repair and/or maintain irrigation systems. The CIC must conduct business in such a manner that irrigation projects meet the specifications and requirements of the contract’. Certified Irrigation Technician is only certifying an individual. Upload of a copy of the Certified Irrigation Contractors certificate is required within the Response Attachments tab. Submitted: 2/26/2026 06:01:22 PM (CT) Q3: Are any backflows getting tested by any department? A3: For Facilities irrigation lines - Facilities does backflow testing on permanent RPZs that feed irrigation systems at City Hall, PD, and Central Fire. If there is a backflow device that is part of the irrigation system itself then the contractor would be the one who tests that. All Parks testing is done in-house. PW-Streets does not perform backflows on their locations. This will be completed by the vendor. Submitted: 2/23/2026 06:07:02 PM (CT)
