    Description

This bid will provide a contract for the purchase of Horizontal, split case, double suction pumps and motors. All materials and parts supplied shall be FOB Destination, Freight Prepaid & Allowed, in accordance with the bid specifications and conditions. --- Q&A --- Q1: Section 33 19 20, paragraph 2.4.A.1 calls for a double volute casing to reduce radial loading on the shaft, but I would like to check if single volute is acceptable, provided the pump still meets the minimum of 40,000 hrs of L10 bearing life. A1: The double volute design is required. The single volute design will not be considered. Submitted: 7/7/2026 02:18:09 PM (PT) Q2: We represent “Peerless” brand of pumps. There are existing Peerless installed pumps at SNWA’s booster stations. Peerless is a major split case pump vendor and has an excellent selection for this project. Please see the attached pump curve. We exceed the specified 83% efficiency by almost 5%. Also attached is a brochure. Peerless has been making these pumps for 60+ years. We respectfully request approval of Peerless brand pumps for this project, by an addendum, as well as for future projects. Thank you. A2: Bids submitted for pumps not manufactured by those listed in Paragraph 2.2 in Section 33 19 20 will be considered. Submitted: 6/30/2026 03:40:05 PM (PT) Q3: Are alternate manufacturers being considered for the pumps in Section 33 19 20 Horizontal Split Case Pumps? A3: Bids submitted for pumps not manufactured by those listed in Paragraph 2.2 in Section 33 19 20 will be considered. Submitted: 6/24/2026 01:32:22 PM (PT)
