These services include those identified in California Government Code sections 27720 through 27728 and Chapter 2.49 of the Shasta County Code. The selected attorney, firm, or organization may also be called upon to provide similar services in other matters as authorized by the Shasta County Board of Supervisors.
The attorney, firm, or organization selected to provide Administrative Hearing Officer Services shall do so as an independent contractor. The contractor will receive no employee benefits, no workers’ compensation coverage from the County, and no IRS withholdings will be made from any compensation paid. The successful proposer will be expected to enter into a personal services agreement with the County of Shasta in a form substantially similar to Attachment A.
