The Public Utilities Department is responsible for maintaining the County’s water, wastewater, and Irrigation Quality (IQ) aerial crossings. These aerials span canals and rivers throughout Collier County, and many are difficult to access, often requiring watercraft and specialized lifting equipment. The County currently has approximately seventy-six (76) water, forty-five (45) wastewater, and twelve (12) IQ aerial crossings and the system is expanding. The Division seeks to award contracts to qualified vendors to access, prepare, and paint these aerials on an as-needed basis.
