Work of this contract includes renovations of two spaces within UAlbany’s ETEC Building. The AI+ Hub is an office fit-out of an existing unfinished area within the building. The Gaming Development Lab is the conversion of an existing conference room into a lab. Both areas include but are not limited to removals, new walls, finishes, mechanical, fire sprinkler, electrical, fire alarm, audio/ visual and IT work. All work on this Contract is to be completed no later than August 7, 2026, starting five (5) calendar days after the contract approval date of New York State Comptroller. A pre-bid walkthrough to review the scope of work and site conditions will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 1:00 pm EST. Interested parties to meet at University at Albany, ETEC Building, Conference Room 276, Harriman Campus, 1220 Washington ave Albany, NY 12227 where the architect will review the project drawings and specifications prior to visiting each space within the building. (877) 272-0216. All work shall be in accordance with construction drawings and specifications. Contractor must be able to secure a performance bond for the full amount of their bid and should be prepared to anticipate a value in excess of $1,300,000 for this project. Please note that this project is exempt from Wicks Law. The State University of New York at Albany project specific goals for this project are 11% MBE and 19% WBE and 6% SDVOB. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.
