Sealed proposals for the procurement of Airport Sweeper Equipment Contract will be received at the City Clerk’s Office, 717 Main Street, Safford, Arizona until 2 pm, local time, July 2, 2019, and there, at said office, at said time, publicly opened and read aloud. Bids may also be mailed to the City Clerk at PO Box 272, Safford, Arizona 85548, at or before the required time and date. The project title and bidders name and address shall appear on the outside of the sealed proposal. Late bids will not be considered. Proposals may be withdrawn before the public opening by phone or written request. Procurement of a new 2019, or newer, self-propelled, diesel powered, vacuum sweeper. The Contract Documents (consisting of the Advertisement, the Proposal, the Agreement, and the Specifications) may be obtained only by contacting Michelle Auge of C&S Engineers, Inc. at (mauge@cscos.com) who will provide you with the OneDrive link to download the Contract Documents. Your company will also be recorded on the plan holders list. Submitted proposals that were not recorded on the plan holders list shall be considered non-responsive. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum proposal price (combination of base bid or alternate bid plus add-on items) for the contract in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Preparation of Proposal. Every request concerning this procurement must be made in writing or email addressed to Richard Graham, P.E. (rgraham@cscos.com) at C&S Engineers, Inc., located at 9200 E. Pima Center Pkwy., Suite 240, Scottsdale, AZ 85258, and to be given consideration must be received at the above address at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for opening of bids. Any supplemental instructions will be in the form of written addenda, which, when issued, will be sent and or posted not later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. All addenda so issued shall become Part of the Contract. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor irregularities and informalities therein, and to award the bid in the best interest of the City. The City of Safford also reserves the right to retain the deposit of the two lowest bidders for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids.
