Padlet is uniquely suited to meet the District’s instructional and student data privacy needs. It provides a secure platform for both student content submission and teacher-managed discussion boards, with built-in moderation controls and privacy settings designed specifically for classroom use. Comparable platforms do not offer the same level of security, user management, or compliance features required in a K–12 educational environment.Additionally, Padlet allows teachers to create and manage separate boards by class period, subject, or activity, ensuring that student discussions remain organized and segmented. This functionality supports efficient classroom management across multiple sections and is critical for maintaining instructional continuity.Padlet’s platform is proprietary in both design and functionality. While other tools may offer limited collaboration features, they are not purpose-built for education and do not provide the same combination of security, usability, and classroom-specific controls. As a result, no other product offers an equivalent solution that meets the District’s requirements.Length of notice: Granite School District intends to purchase these products for the next four years, thus this notification will be considered official notification for the subsequent four years through 2030.Anticipated expenditure:2026-2027 school year: $43,625 2027-2028 school year: $55,750 2028-2029 school year: $67,875 2029-2030 school year: $80,900 Total: $248,150
