The Air Pollution Control District seeks qualified contractors to design and install a new solar system. The system shall be a turnkey photovoltaic system to be installed on the newly constructed membrane roof of the District’s approximately 8,184 square foot headquarters building. Approximately 5,100 square feet of the roof is available for the system equipment. The system should be sized alternatively to (i) offset approximately fifty percent (50%) of the District’s anticipated future electrical consumption, estimated at approximately 36,500 kWh annually, or (ii) approximately one hundred percent (100%) of the District’s anticipated future electrical consumption, estimated at approximately 73,000 kWh annually. Either system should be designed to support additional EV charging stations and may propose including optional battery back-up solutions. This pre-proposal conference is not mandatory; however, it is highly recommended.
