The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This is a marked to take thinning of approximately 139 acres of mostly longleaf pine on Blackwater River State Forest in Santa Rosa County, Florida (SFI Certified Forest #BVC-SFIFM-700005). All timber marked with blue paint within the sale area is available for harvest. Unmarked timber is not to be harvested or damaged, including hardwoods. Estimated volumes for the sale are as follows: 1,139 tons of pine pulpwood, 353 tons of super pine pulpwood, 523 tons of pine chip-n-saw, 1,070 tons of pine sawtimber, and 267 tons of pine poles. Sale area boundaries are marked with double dots of orange paint. Due to the presence of wetlands in the vicinity of or included in the sale perimeter, all Best Management Practices (BMP's) will be strictly adhered to. This will be a 12-month contract.
