    Description

Purpose: The Town of Timnath requests Responses from qualified Contractors for professional Architect-Engineer services for the planning, design, and construction of a Recreation Center to be located in Timnath, CO. Background: The Town of Timnath Parks and Recreation Department completed the Parks, Recreation, Open Space, and Trails (PROST) Master Plan in May of 2025. During the engagement phase, it became clear there was a strong desire for the Recreation Center. Town staff amended the scope of service of the PROST Master Plan to include a recreation center feasibility study. Since the Town received overwhelming community support for a recreation center during the feasibility study, the Town decided to include a 1.25% sales and use tax measure on the November 2025 ballot. The ballot measure passed, paving the way for the Town to move forward on designing and constructing a Recreation Center. Project Description: Timnath Recreation Center - The Project scope includes design of a multi-use recreation center located off Timnath Parkway and 4th Avenue in Old Town Timnath. The site consists of two Town-owned properties and are currently un-improved totaling approximately 17.5 acres. Of the 17.5 acres, approximately 11 acres will be used as the site of the Recreation Center while the other 6.5 acres will be used for a mixed-use commercial development known as the Artisan District. See Recreation Center Architect RFQ Attachment for full details and requirements.
