The City of Burlingame’s Public Works Operations Division wishes to establish a contractual relationship with a qualified company to provide streetlight maintenance, repair and replacement on an on-call basis, including emergency call-outs. These services would be billed on a Time & Materials basis, and we are inviting companies to provide their hourly labor rates (prevailing wages) for services as well as their mark-up rate for materials.The length of the contract is from July 1, 2026 until June 30, 2029 with two 1-year renewal options (commencing on July 1st) at the election of the City. Total charges under this contract are not to exceed $75,000. The contract is for “on-call services as needed” and is not a guarantee that the City will contact you to perform these services.The City reserves the right to award multiple contracts in order to meet its operational needs.Contractor shall meet the following requirements if awarded the contract:• Must have an active Class A or Class C-10 license issued by the California Contractors State License Board.• At least five (5) years of experience providing similar services to a public agency.• Must be able to respond to emergency calls within two (2) hours.• Must be able to respond to non-emergency calls within five (5) working days.• Must pay prevailing wages and meet the City’s insurance and business license requirements before starting work. See Sample Agreement and “City of Burlingame Contractor Requirements” for more details.• The City of Burlingame recognizes that prevailing wage increases may occur during the term of the contract, and consequently will allow labor rate increases of up to 5 percent per year to ensure that the labor rates reflect the current prevailing wage.
