    The City of Keene is soliciting Request for Scope and Fee Proposals (RFP) from qualified landscape architecture firms to provide professional design services to develop and natural play space and structures at Ashuelot River Park – Greenspace, that incorporates more recent City projects, goals and initiatives, including but not necessarily limited to the: • 2026 City Council Goals • The City of Keene Twenty Forward Master Plan • 2012 Active and Passive Recreation Management Plan • 2021 Ashuelot River Park Master Plan This RFP seeks a consultant to design a single, high-quality natural playground structure or play node that complements the park’s existing character and aligns with the planned expansion. The final design should incorporate natural materials such as wood, stone, and fiber, emphasize nature-based play and environmental stewardship, and provide a safe, inclusive experience for children and families. The City will collaborate with the Southwest Regional Planning Commission (SWRPC), which is providing services through VHB for the overall site design. This design will highlight and feature innovative timber-based products. In addition, the City will work closely with the Monadnock Conservancy on developing the playground and supporting the broader park expansion. The available project budget is a maximum of $35,00
