The Office of the Attorney General of the State of Maryland (the “OAG” or “Attorney General”) issues this Request for Proposals (RFP) to engage Assistant Counsel (“Assistant Counsel”), pursuant to State Government Code, §6-105(b), with expertise in immigration law. The Assistant Counsel will support the OAG’s representation of the University System of Maryland (“USM”), its constituent institutions, and Morgan State University, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, Historic St. Mary’s City Commission, and Baltimore City Community College (the “Institutions” and each, an “Institution”) and additional agencies and instrumentalities (“Units”) of the State of Maryland (hereinafter collectively “the State”). The Institutions are represented by the Higher Education Division (“HED”) of the OAG.
