Bayview MUD - Demrod Phase 2 - Miller Easement Water and Sewer Extensions

Furnish all necessary materials, machinery, equipment, superintendence and labor for the installation of the extension of water and sewer into 2 separate easements. One between Jasper Street and Simpson Street and the other between Simpson Street and Miles Road. New water and sewer connections shall be provided for the existing services off of State Highway 146. Contractor is responsible for only providing the service to propoerty line if the owner has not provided the line from point of entery for the structure (business). Both water and sewer shall be directionaly drilled (bored) within each easement to prevent damage to existing private property as much as possible. A small portion of Simpson Street ROW can be open cut to install. Existing lined adjacent to State Highway 146 will need ot be filled with grout or flowable fill, capped and abandoned in place. It is expected that a portion of Simpson Street and possibly Jasper Street may have to be demoed to install the water line. Site must be brought back to original conditions or better. 

 

new utilities using a Jack & Bore for all lines crossing under TxDOT Highway 146, abandoning in place various water and sewer lines, reconnect utilities and remove and repair pavement for Bayview Municipal Utility District, including other incidental items of work as called for in the specifications.

Bidders must submit a Bid Bond from a reliable Surety company, a Cashier's Check or Certified Check issued by a bank satisfactory to Bayview Municipal Utility District, payable without recourse to the order of Bayview Municipal Utility District, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the largest possible bid submitted as a guaranty that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute bonds and guaranty in the forms provided within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract to him. Bids without the required Check or Bid Bond will not be considered. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract, and once the contract is completed a 1-Year Warranty Bond in the amount of the total construction cost, written by a responsible Surety Company, authorized to do business in the State of Texas, and satisfactory to the Owner. Bayview Municipal Utility District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Bayview Municipal Utility District for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award. Payment for the work performed on this project will be paid by Bayview Municipal Utility District.
