Work includes complete demolition and removal of all existing facilities within the designated West Campus limits of work. This includes demolition and removal of 17 modular classroom buildings, including associated ramps, decks, canopies, skirting, foundations, and all related structures. Remove all existing pavement, concrete, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, fencing, signage, light poles, and other surface features within the limits of work. Perform clearing and grubbing of all vegetation, including trees, shrubs, and topsoil, as required.Increment 1 scope includes, but is not limited to, the following:*Erosion and sediment control *Site demolition *Earthwork and grading *Storm drainage improvements *Domestic water tie-ins and utility stubs only *Fire water tie-ins and stubs, including hydrants as required *Sanitary sewer tie-ins and utility stubs *General site preparation is necessary to make the site build-readyDry utility demolition includes the removal and capping of electrical, gas, telecom, fire alarm, and data conduits. The Contractor shall coordinate directly with PG&E for the scheduled shutdown and cutting of power to the West Campus, currently planned for April 1. Work includes demolition of one existing transformer and installation of a new transformer, including all required coordination, shutdowns, and approvals. Utilities designated as “XDI — to remain” shall be protected throughout demolition operations.Wet utility demolition and abandonment includes abandonment of storm drain drop inlets, removal of designated piping, and reconnection of remaining components in accordance with the project design. Cap domestic water, fire water, and sewer utilities as directed. Maintain interim surface drainage during demolition activities.Environmental compliance includes legal disposal of materials, recycling documentation, dust control measures, and compliance with Cal/OSHA regulations, applicable California Code of Regulations, and Monterey County environmental requirements.
