    Description

    This project will require the awarded Contractor to remove and replace the existing primary windcone located between the Terminal and Administration Building and Runway 15-33. Existing conduit and cable will be removed within the work area boundary, and new conduit and cable will be installed. The primary windcone is centered within the Segmented Circle which will be removed amd replaced under this project. The supplemental windcone serving Runway 6-24, located adjacent to Taxiway A, will be removed and a new supplemental windcone will be installed in the infield between Runway 6-24, Taxiway A and Taxiway Q. New conduit and cable will be installed as shown in the Contract Drawings. A non-mandatory pre-bid site visit will be held on March 30, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Brookhaven Calabro Municipal Airport Administrative Building and Airport Terminal located at 135 Dawn Drive, Shirley, NY 11967. All interested parties must register to attend by sending an email to: pmazzei@brookhavenny.gov and aboland@brookhavenny.gov This project is funded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant monies and as such is subject to the standards of the granting agency. The Town of Brookhaven has established the following participation goals for this project: 5.8% Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE) 6.9% Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) 0% Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) The Contractor shall make, and document, all good faith efforts made to achieve the MWBE goals. Additionally, all responders must complete and submit the MWBE Utilization Plan found in the bid document. Failure to submit the required MWBE Utilization Plan may result in the rejection of your bid. Business enterprises awarded an identical or substantially similar procurement contract within the past five years: L.E.B.
