    Dane County is seeking bids from qualified contractors for BLACK EARTH CREEK HYDROLOGIC RESTORATION located at SCHULTZ RD & HWY 14, BLACK EARTH, WI. This project involves channel realignment, floodplain excavation, wood habitat structures and streambank stabilization , and is being delivered under a lump sum contract.

    The goals of the project include flood mitigation, water quality protection and ecological lift of aquatic and terrestrial habitat.  Work is to be performed in coordination with Dane County Land & Water Resources staff, and must comply with all applicable county specifications, ordinances, and local permitting requirements.

    Interested vendors should have demonstrated experience in projects of similar size and complexity. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the at the facility address above, and all questions must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. February 13, 2026. Bid packages are due by 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
