    Description

    The Center for NYC Neighborhoods, Inc. (the "Center") has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to establish a Property Owner Legal Services Panel for the Blue Buffers Program, a voluntary buyout initiative funded by the New York State Clean Water, Clean Air, and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act of 2022. The Center is seeing qualified law firms and legal services organizations to provide seller-side transactional legal services for property owners participating in the buyout program. The scope of services are as follows: Intake & Consultation Document Review Title Support Closing Representation Eligibility Respondents must be a qualified law firm or legal services organization. Key requirements are: Attorneys must be licensed to practice in New York State and be in good standing Must have demonstrated experience in seller-side real estate transactions and resolving curable title and probate issues. Capacity to serve property owners in our initial target areas, Suffolk and/or Broome Counties, as well as counties throughout the state. Respondents must maintain legal malpractice insurance and have a robust conflicts- check process . Must complete a Vendor Responsibility Checklist and NYS Vendor Questionnaire.
