Request for Qualificiations for Building Contractors for Vacant Rental Program PROGRAM: The City of Auburn, NY is seeking qualified contractors to participate in their Vacant Rental Program funded through NYS Homes and Community Renewal. The program will renovate vacant properties with one to five residential units. The City has hired Thoma Development Consultants to assist in the administration of the program. In addition to General Contractors, typical trades may include, but are not limited to, roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, painiting, and lead remediation. All work will be undertaken within the City of Auburn. QUALIFICATIONS: In order to be added to the participating contractor list for this program, interested contractors will need to complete an application form; provide work and credit references; carry a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance, $500,000 property damage insurance, and Workers Compensation Insurance; and have applicable certifications of licenses for their particular trade. Please note that electricians and plumbers must be licensed to work within the City of Auburn. M/WBE firms are strongly encouraged to apply and participate in the program.
