The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This is a biomass sale consisting of 252 acres of hardwoods on the Tower Tract of Indian Lake State Forest in Marion County, Florida (see attached maps). The use of an onsite chipper or grinder will be required. Timber to be harvested includes all unmarked hardwoods. Hardwoods marked with blue paint and pines will not be harvested or damaged. Sale boundaries for the harvest will consist of marked roads and trails and orange painted trees. There is no estimated volume of fuelwood. The Florida Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in bids received.
