PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Calimesa as CITY, invites sealed bids for the above-stated project and will receive such bids in the offices of the City Clerk, 908 Park Avenue, Calimesa, California 92320, up to the hour of 10:00 am on JULY 16, 2025, at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Norton Younglove Multipurpose Senior Center. Bidders’ site inspection is encouraged to view the existing repair prior to bidding. All work must be completed within 45 (forty-five) working days after the date of authorization specified in the Notice to Proceed and to diligently prosecute said work, including corrective items of work, day to day thereafter, except as adjusted by subsequent Contract Change Orders. Digital copies of the contract documents (plans and specifications) may be obtained from the City of Calimesa’s website at www.calimesa.gov or from local plan rooms. Contractor shall schedule a required preconstruction meeting including County of Riverside Housing and Workforce Solutions, who manages the Community Development Block Grant Funding on behalf of the Federal Government. County will outline labor, payment and all Federal requirements for the project. All subcontractors and suppliers required to be listed in the bid must be present. The successful Bidder shall perform, with its own organization, Contract work amounting to at least fifty percent of (50%) of the Contract bid items. However, any designated “Specialty Items” may be performed by subcontract and the amount of any such “Specialty Items” may be deducted from the Contract items before computing the amount of work required to be performed by the Contractor.
