SUNY Upstate Medical University intends to make an award under our discretionary authority, which is up to $125,000, pursuant to NYS Education Law 355(5)(a), which authorizes purchases without a formal competitive process in certain circumstances. Vendors responding to this advertisement shall be required to complete and submit applicable documents related to NYS Finance Law Section 139 J & k. The successful vendor shall be required to submit valid and current NYS Workers' Compensation and Disability Forms. Service description: Upstate is seeking a vendor to provide Canadian nurse recruits. The vendor must be able to provide Canadian nurse candidates (“Candidates”) whom have a TN Visa. The Candidates must possess competence in both written and spoken English. The Candidates must have graduated from an accredited College of Nursing. The Candidates must have passed the nursing licensing exam in their country of education and obtained requisite licensure. The Candidates must be eligible to apply for and obtain the required licenses, permits, and certifications necessary to practice as a Registered Nurse in their assigned state. The vendor will perform a needs assessment to determine criteria for candidate selection. The vendor will provide candidate screenings using methods such as resume reviews, direct video calling, self-published video submittals, and live interviews. The vendor will facilitate the presentation of the job offer to the selected candidate(s) and obtain their acceptance. The vendor will facilitate the candidates’ immigration application/process. The vendor will Provide Upstate with regular status reports. Prior to any work performed by successful Bidder’s employees and/or sub-contractors, they must successfully pass a drug test and criminal background investigation. Any and all associated costs will be the responsibility of successful Bidder.
