    Description

    The City of Leesburg seeks to secure the services of a qualified, Florida-licensed Certified General Contractor to provide all necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, and incidentals to improve stormwater management within the Carver Heights area. The project includes construction of a dry percolation pond with a six (6) foot fence and a fourteen (14) foot swing gate; construction of a swale at the rear of 816 Georgia Avenue; and removal of trees located between 816 Georgia Avenue and 817 Talladega Street. Existing electrical lines and a light pole located on City property shall be relocated as part of the project. A 2.5-inch gas main shall be encased with a minimum of six (6) inches of concrete on all sides for a distance of ten (10) feet. Any fencing, structures, or private property disturbed during construction shall be restored to its existing condition upon project completion. The Contractor shall follow the engineered design plans provided by the City of Leesburg and perform all work in accordance with the specifications set forth in the solicitation.

     

    An additive alternate to the project includes installation of sidewalks with proper Miami curb and gutter along Georgia Avenue, Johns Avenue, Talladega Street, and Waitman Street to direct surface water flow.
